I configured postfix as described in
http://dudle.linuxroot.org/docs/postfix_cyrus/. Then each mail is delivered
to the root account. Afterwards I changed my the fetchmailrc file using the
"is freenet here" and "is gmx here" syntax. Then I get the previously
    described error (user unknown).
Cyrus is running as IMAP server with three accounts named "freenet", "gmx"
and "root". How do I tell postfix that there is a local acoount named
    freenet or gmx?

    Alex

fetchmail is referencing a "freenet" account.

So maybe the problem is that postfix doesn't know about the freenet
account? You mention Cyrus in the subject (though you don't mention a
thing about it in the mail)---perhaps you should explain how that fits
    in?
