the most recent snapshot 1.1.7-20020331 includes
    a SASL2 patch

to repeat my question, can anyone suggest what
config options are no longer needed when using
MySQL (as opposed to sasldb, etc)?? i am unclear
on whether or not pwcheck is needed (don't think
so), and more importantly, how I will be telling
SASL that it needs to use MySQL to verify users

    my old configure options were:

    ./configure --disable-krb4 --disable-gssapi --disable-anon --disable-plain
    --enable-login --with-pwcheck=/var/pwcheck --enable-pwcheck --disable-sample
    --disable-cram and --disable-digest
