    You could -- on the internal server -- have a virtual map that does
    something like:

    user.namecompany.com localuseryourserver

    That way, the mail would stay local. And fast.

    The big picture is that anyone who sticks their mailbox server on internet
    as their MX instead of using a dedicated SMTP anti-abuse gateway as MX is
    bending over and begging for it.
