For those of you dealing with comcast mail issues, we've tracked down some
    information.

A contractor in NYC cut a mass of fibers early Wednesday morning, May 1.
Among those fibers were Comcast connections, though I'm not sure how many.
Many people in the NY metro area have apparently been without cable modem
    service for a while.

Prior to 5/1, mail from comcast.net was coming through to us without any
problems. Our mail configuration did not change, but beginning 5/1,
comcast.net mail was rejected because of reject_non_fqdn_hostname. Those
"mtaout##" in the HELO apparently started 5/1. I'm guessing they failed
over to some backup machines. The client remained "smtp.comcast.net" and
kept the same IP address, but obviously *something* changed because the
HELO is now not an FQDN.
