i am having a problem with mailman (using virtual maps) and was
wondering if anyone has any ideas about this.
in the virtual map (i've changed the domain name to avoid directing
extra spam to the list-owner):
a6
example.com a6
a6-admin
example.com a6-admin
a6-request
example.com a6-request
a6-owner
example.com a6-admin
and in the aliases file:
a6: "|/usr/local/bin/demime '|/usr/local/mailman/mail/wrapper post a6'"
a6-admin: "|/usr/local/mailman/mail/wrapper mailowner a6"
a6-request: "|/usr/local/mailman/mail/wrapper mailcmd a6"
a6-owner: a6-admin
mail to a6-owner or a6-admin gives an error like:
Jun 1 17:42:02 roland postfix/local[46708]: CF0631D8: to=<a6-admin
roland.example.com>, relay=local, delay=1, status=bounced (mail forwarding loop for a6-admin
roland.example.com)
i'm thinking it may be because there's a Delivered-To header for
a6-admin anyway (from the forward from the virtual map to the alias
map)... does that sound right? any ideas on how to keep this from
happening? i see a number of messages in the archives about this, but
haven't seen any with a solution.
i get the error even if i direct the message to the machine's hostname
(which isn't in the virtual map) instead of to the virtual domain.

messages to the list itself work ok.
