Postfix doesn't handle your POP. Ask your pop server's logs. Try catting
the appropriate log file, grep for the username, and grep for whatever the
delete command for pop3 is.
Of course, the fact that the guy uses Outlook probably answers the
question already. Outlook, by default, deletes every email it downloads
over pop3.
