    Hi Guys

    Is there a way to keep mails in the active queue until a dialup client has disconnected. I have setup an etrn server and what happens is that mails go the the active queue and the client has 10 concurrent connections open to him.

    When all the connections die, a reconnections from the mailserver to the client doesn't happen and the client disconnects without downloading all his e-mails.

    I have tried the following in the configs:

    --------------CUT HERE----------------------
    transport file:
    domain.com hold:[1.2.3.4]

    main.cf file:
    fast_flush_domains = /etc/postfix/fast_flush
    fast_flush_purge_time = 7d
    fast_flush_refresh_time = 2m

    defer_transports = hold
    transport_retry_time = 5s

    queue_run_delay = 8h
    -------------------------------------------

    My problem is that mails goes to the active queue and a couple of minutes later some e-mail go to deferred status.

    Also, when I issue a manual etrn with "/usr/sbin/sendmail -qRdomain.com" or "postqueue -s domain.com", the e-mail still sits in the deferred queue and not active queue.

    Is there someway to always send mail to a client when the client is dialed up.
