Sorry. They are _my_ comments for the purpose of the E-mail.
They aren't in my /etc/postfix/main.cf. Sorry for the
confusion.

Nope.
I am however grateful for your response, and I am hoping for some
help with the basic problem. As you know, various utilities and
programs in the Unix/Linux system(e.g. sudoers, which I am now
working on setting up) will send E-mail to e.g. root if they don't
like something. At the present time these mailings aren't getting
to me. Which they should, if my understanding of the /etc/postfix/alias
file is correct.
