I'm getting the following error in maillog
Aug 12 15:12:42 ip111 postfix/local[26912]: 5EA061BEC5:
to=<martin.saunders
collingwood.org>, relay=local, delay=0, status=bounced
(cannot append message to destination file /var/spool/mail/foo: cannot open
file: Permission denied)
This is with permissions set at 755 for the directory, owner root, group
mail. The files themselves are set at 660 with individuals as owners
belonging to group mail.
I've tried setting permissions as loose as possible for testing but same
error occurs. Thoughts?
Postfix is getting user info from LDAP. Support for LDAP is compiled into
Postfix. I was getting unknown user errors before I did that (duh) but now I
get this permissions error.
So close.....
