My postfix problem is fixed. I did an fsck on the drive and found a couple
INODE problems and fixed those.
Then I decided to reinstall postfix before I reinstalled the machine.
I just did a make clean; make; make install; in the postfix source directory
and then started postfix back up.
No errors reported in any of the logs and my aliases are working again.
Not sure what the problem could have been, but whatever it was, it was fixed
with the reinstallation of postfix.
