I'm afraid you should change not client's *configuration", but client's *software*
that does not understand ESMTP protocol... As long as I understand, RET=HDRS is
a DSN option (Delivery Status Notification). Postfix does NOT support it, at
all, and does not tell it's client that it support it. According to [E]SMTP,
client MUST NOT use an option that isn't available on the server (unless a server
especially said it supports an option). Having said this, the solution will be
to *fix* client. If you want this to be done in postfix, you're free to modify
source, but such a change will make postfix non-standard compliant at best.
