Well, /etc/hosts won't change that often, will it?
As for /etc/resolv.conf: Why not use dnscache? It's fasster and
simpler anyway.
But yes, you'll have to copy it everytime it changes (or you run
smtpd NOT cchrooted)

symlinks don't work wwith chrooot.
