What do you mean by unscannable email? We recently had two messages come
through that put Spamassassin (running under amavisd-new) into a loop, and
it sat there until postfix timed out. The fix for me was to follow the
directions at http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/ under Tips and FAQ to
disable the faraway charset check in Spamassassin. We haven't had the
problem since.
