Okay, then why is the first machine re-writing it? The only thing I can
think of is that it has something to do with moon being a CNAME for pluto:
earth> nslookup moon.hub.org
Server: jupiter.hub.org
Address: 64.49.215.5
Name: pluto.hub.org
Address: 64.49.215.234
Aliases: moon.hub.org
earth> nslookup pluto.hub.org
Server: jupiter.hub.org
Address: 64.49.215.5
Name: pluto.hub.org
Address: 64.49.215.234
but I haven't modified the mail system on earth at all ... but, with that
theory in mind, I just sent a test email to the same account from one of
my sendmail machines, and it gets delivered properly:

So, what should I be looking at one earth's postfix install that would be doing the translation?
