Changing it to 127.0.0.1 as Ralf suggested did fix the problem.
localhost is indeed defined in /etc/hosts. There wasn't a
/var/spool/postfix/etc/hosts so I copied /etc/hosts to that directory.
Did a postfix reload, localhost didn't work after doing that. If I try
to ping localhost on the command line it seems to find 127.0.0.1 alright
but then again, that ping isn't chrooted. I don't know. I'm running RH
7.3.
I'm satisfied with just leaving it at 127.0.0.1 in the config file.
