Hi all,
I am planning to use postfix on Intel Pentium III, 1 processor and 1400Mhz with RedHat Linux 7.2. for about 30,000 (thirty thousand) users. First of all, is it enough to use this hardware /or do I need a faster one with multiple processors? I assume SCSI disk with enough capacity would be enough!? I am also planning to authenticate users with LDAP. Would it be a problem to use an ldap server running on different machine on the net (I mean mail server and ldap server will be different machines). I appreciate any useful/hintful comments.
