Been reading and reading and...well you all know the drill (I know it never
ends) and it seems to me that you can do all your Spam checking (and lots of
virus checking and many other checks) using things like Header and Body and
such checks. I would assume the core advantage of using things like
Spamassassin (and a virus scanner/Amavis) is it eliminates a lot of
maintenance on the system vs. maintaining check files, am I understanding
that right? You can use check files to do the same thing - right?
I know you still need to do some checks regardless of using outside tools I
just want to make sure I'm not missing something fundamental about their
uses.
