Another point to consider is that a lot of responsible people
(including me) run a mail server on cablemodem or dsl
and cannot get our "home" isp providers to setup rdns.
Maybe there is a way around this as I am no expert on
rdns, but that further proves the point that this type of
test may do more harm than good...

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry
into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It
both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of
war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind
has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the
citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by
partiotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader, and gladly
    so.

How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.

Subject: Validity of reverse DNS lookup?

    > Hi!
    >
    > We have had a interesting discussion about the practical use of reverse
DNS lookups and I am wondering what the general thoughts are here in the
    newsgroup.
    >
    > It seems that some ISP's and large sites are using it and others are not
and the ones that are have a near constant complaint queue from users about
not receiving emails from known good senders. The problem always resides in
that the senders DNS either is not responding with correct MX information,
is to slow to respond and gets automatically rejected, or returns an error
code like "11004" valid but no data.
