i dont know whats going on my mx lookup is
happening from few places and not from others ,
You may now use this form to determine Mail Exchanger
settings from an NSLookup.
Type the domain name only in the box below, (i.e. -
davidj.org) and then click 'Get MX'.
The query ran was worldgate.co.in.Server:
ns3.powweb.com
Address: 63.251.213.33
worldgate.co.in preference = 10, mail exchanger =
mx1.worldgate.co.in
worldgate.co.in nameserver = ns1.worldgate.co.in
worldgate.co.in nameserver = ns2.worldgate.co.in
mx1.worldgate.co.in internet address = 203.109.64.24
ns1.worldgate.co.in internet address = 203.109.64.23
ns2.worldgate.co.in internet address = 203.109.64.24
observe returns: Look for preference =#, mail
exchanger = server.name.info
sort preferences: The lower number, when there are
multiple servers, determines the order that mail will
try to send on.
telnet server.name.info 25: telnet to port 25 to see
if you can connect, if you can't, you have found your
first problem.
use smtp commands to send a test message: If you
connect, use mail and rcpt and data commands to send a
test message.
mail from:: Who is it from?
rcpt to:: Who is it to?
data: Type some lines and then put a period by itself
on your last line.
quit: To close the connection
