To amplify this point, only use "-o" in master.cf if either:
A. You have yourself read the relevant source code (for the appropriate
release!) and understand the behaviour of the master.cf "-o" option.
OR
B. You are following a recipe written by someone you trust to have done
"A", the recipe applies to the version of Postfix you are using. If the
"-o" options you are using are not documented in README or sample files of
a new Postfix release, it is wise to search the list archives for answers
or failing that ask the list whether the "undocumented" "-o" options still
work with the new release. Avoid "-o" options unless in your environment
Postfix is *unusable* without them.
