See above. Use valid addresses to test proper function, and invalid ones to
test relaying.

Ahh. The Courier-IMAP can support POP3 if I remember, but I do not know if
it is on be default or not. Someone who uses it could give you all the info
on that, if you want 110/POP3 support. If so, ask in a Courier list.

If you know some IMAP commands you could do the same thing that link talks
about for testing 25/SMTP.

Make an account. Send to it.
It is better if you send from a real internet address, like the
syprinth
yahoo.com one, to one on the system. That way you have more to
look at.
But if this is an internal only server, or does not have a public domain
attached, you may have to test it by sending internal mail from one account
to another.
