Hi,

Ralf and I have delivered a time schedule that says that we will finish writing on the book by the end of June. God, I must have been drunk... ;)
Since this is the first book that Ralf and I write, we
a) don't know if we are just being fools with our estimates
and it will actually will take another ten years...
b) have no experience how long it will take us to go
through the chapters once the editors have read it and
start doing what editors do...
c) don't have any idea how long it takes after the editing
to take it to the market.
I like what we have by now and there are few other list-members that will have a look at what we have written to double and triple check, once we are ready to hand the first parts out.
But yes to some extend we suffer the same 'illness' that the O'Reilly book suffers from: Keeping the book in sync with the speed that Postfix develops sometimes is a challenge. The arrival of 2.0.x and the rewriting that followed reminded me of this quote: "When is an airport ever finished? Never!"
