Here's a hint:
23:46:52 Sat Mar 01 $ cat blah | postfix
postfix: error: to submit mail, use the Postfix sendmail command
postfix: fatal: the postfix command is reserved for the superuser
23:46:57 Sat Mar 01 $ tail /var/log/maillog
Mar 1 23:46:56 laptop postfix[64458]: error: to submit mail, use the Postfix sendmail command
Mar 1 23:46:56 laptop postfix[64458]: fatal: the postfix command is reserved for the superuser
That should clear everything up for you.
