Virus Scanning with Postfix.

Hello people, I know that this has been done to death, but I still want to ask
advice. I have never set up any type of virus scanning at email level, I have
always insisted on client based virus scanning, but now, I'd like to
implement viral scanning as soon as email hits my domains.
A lot of mail is collected via fetchmail, does email gethered in this way get
scanned as well??
Which email scanner is best as a first time install?? Are there any open
sourde implementations, or are they all commercial?
