Postfix/mysql weird error

Hi...

This may have been covered before, but I can't figure
out how to even search the archives for it, so if it
*has* been covered, please feel free to just direct me
to where I can find it. I've installed postfix
1.1.12-5 with redhat mysql support. Everything looks
good, and the mysql databases look ok. Postfix starts
OK, as well, but when I try to connect to it from an
internet client, and send e-mail to it, it dies
immediately after anything I send it as a recipient -
that is, it takes the EHLO command OK, takes the "MAIL
From:" command OK, but as soon as I use a "RCPT To:"
command, it kicks the client off and sort of
hibernates; at the same time, on the server, I see a
new process called "cleanup", which runs for several
minutes. While it's running, postfix is unresponsive
from the outside, but when it's done, I have no
delivered mail, although postfix is back to taking
connections.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong when setting up
postfix with mysql (although I can get postfix running
"regular" just fine, with mail delivery to local
users), but I've tried the step by step instructions
at http://kirb.insanegenius.net/postfix.html and
http://kummefryser.dk/HOWTO/mail/postfix_mysql.html,
among others. I've done them exactly as posted,
several times, and get the same results each time.
I've spent hours on this, and finally decided to ask
for help. So, help! :)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
