need a little guidance

I am using postfix 2.0.7 with postgresql patch plus
dbmail.
I use a postgresql table to store a list of domains
I host. This is working great! transport map
contains a list of domains all of which points to
"dbmail:" Trouble is that postfix does not know that
a certain email address does not exist and it accepts
and hands off mail to dbmail after checking valid
domain.
Doing a test with telnet I notice that postfix accepts
mail to nonexistentaddress
valid.domain. Then dbmail
properly bounce it.
Is it possible for postfix to somehow look up a table
of valid users to decide whether or not let remote
user issue "data" command and then hand it off to
dbmail only if it is valid? I don't mind having a
duplicate table since I hope to constrain this table
with a master table.
Another question. Sendmail I was using before accepts
"helo garbage". After I turn smtpd_helo_required =
yes
postfix requires a very strict "helo". I would like
to know whether I should worry about it.
Is it possible to completely turn off mail delivery to
local users?
Thanks in advance
joe p.
