I could not provide any data for now, as the number of queued
mail is zero :-)

You're right, the number of concurrent incoming connections
is does matter. I decided to use another idle HD, throwing
one more ip address and put another postfix instance on
that machine. If it is still not enough, we should have
any problem tomorrow.

unfortunately, I have to change several variables on my main.cf
(change inet_interfaces etc). then, today, basically moving queued
mails from incoming to active keeps my postfix busy :-)
it's a shame really.

I use hash_queue_depth = 2. do you think that change it to 1 or
even 0 would help?
