Hi,
I'm having some trouble getting postfix to use values in a hosts file and
I hoping that someone could shed some light on my problem. I have set a
host's IP address in the /etc/hosts file but postfix never seems to use
it.
In DNS:
fudge.domain.tld = 10.0.0.2
MX 10 = fudge.domain.tld
MX 20 = jam.domain.tld
In hosts:
fudge.domain.tld = 10.0.0.3
If I do a ping from the box it always goes to 10.0.0.3 (hosts) but when
ever postfix does an MX lookup it always comes back with 10.0.0.2 (DNS).
The 'chroot' column in master.cf is all 'n'so I don't think I have to move
the hosts file.
Any insites joyfully received.
Nick
