What combo for "virtual users"?

Hiya all!
I'm looking to set up a mail system with "virtual users", i.e. they should
only need pop3 and smtp access and no "real accounts" on the linux box.
What combinations are recommended? As of now I have Postfix 1.1.11 and
qpopper 4.0.4 but I can't see a solution in that combination.
I'd prefer to use apps already included in SuSE Pro 8.2, it makes life a lot
easier I believe... There's a package just named "IMAP-2002" that I don't
know anything about, and there's Cyrus-IMAP, which I've heard is both
capable of doing the job, but also very difficult to set up and maintain?
Preferably there would also be a simple interface to set up and maintain the
mail users, also, they should have the same name and password for both pop
and smtp.
Thanks for your ideas!
