postfix and ldap

Hi.

I see alot of posts on the list about people that try/use/succeed/fail using
postfix with LDAP, and from my experience a few month ago setting up a
postfix-ldap server, i didn't find a whole lot of documentation. i did find
some, and i added on it and wrote a document for internal use by me and my
assistant (http://212.179.48.82/howto/postfix/). I feel that some level of
centralised organisation would help postfix users to deal with this lack of
documentation.

I know that there are alot of people using ldap with postfix, each one in
it's own way. I would like to aggregate the different configurations that
people use, provide them to other users in a centralised location, and maybe
after collecting a certain amount of data, we will also be able to devise a
more standard way of runnign ldap with postfix.

the howto that is in the link took me about 2 hours to write at the time. if
anyone who can contribute on the issue takes 1 hour, and writes a doc about
his system at least half as detailed, this could help all of us alot.

I also undertand that the configurations will probably divide to 2 parts -
these who use cyrus, and these who don't - this is fine, more more info we
have , the better.

I am in digest mode on the list, so please, cc your replies to me directly.

Alex.
