Thanks Victor, I didn't spot the typo. I added
-o content_filter=smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10027 in addition to fixing
the typo and that got rid of the error. I also have that same content
filter entry in the main.cf file. It needs to be in both places? Andre

That should be "smtpd" not "smtp". And it needs a "-o content=" to
avoid
content filter loops.
