Hello,
This is my first post. I'm trying to use Postfix to attempt local de;livery
of mail bounced to Postfix by another domain. I've gone crazy trying to read
about virtual domains and I thought that if I described my intentions then
somebody could tell me if what I want to do is even possible.
The remote domain is hosted at an ISP (call it my-remote.com) that allows me
to configure a default bounce address that has to be in the form of
joe
mypostfix.com. The portion to the left of the at-sign cannot be
omitted or wildcarded.
The affect I want to achieve is that when mail is sent to
alex
my-remote.com, buzz
my-remote.com, chris
my-remote.com then my local
Postfix will attempt to deliver it to alex
mypostfix..com,
buzz
mypostfix.com, chris
mypostfix.com if they exist locally, otherwise
reject it. So far nothing works, I just get the mail delivered to
joe
mypostfix.com and that's the end of it.
Thanks for any insight you can give me.
Paul
