Hi,
I am trying to configure postfix but am running into a few problems.
I can send mail internally from different users on my machine but I can't
send or recieve mail from outside.
My domain is garrystanway.co.uk My internet connection is an adsl link ppp0.
I use dnsexit to provide a dynamic dns service that works fine.
If I run nmap from the localhost port 25 is open. If I do the same from
a remote machine, it appears as filtered. I also can't telnet the port (not
suprising really).
Here is the bits of my main.cf that I think may need changing.
myhostname = garrystanway.co.uk
mydomain = co.uk
myorigin = $myhostname
inet_interfaces = all
I think the failure to send mail out of the server may be because my reveres
DNS does not link back to my domain. But I can understand why port 25 is
not open to the outside world. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Garry Stanway
