My second level domains are being rewritten a.x.com going to x.com

i am running Postfix on SuSE and we've just noticed a rather annoying
problem with what i think is the address clean up stuff. I could be
mistaken though.

Here is the problem.

Server1 accepts email for [x.com]. Standard straight out of the box
PostFix installation. Nothing fancy.

Now Server2 handles a mailing list which is [a.x.com]. When email is
sent from external clients to the mailing list, it works beautifully.
All MX records for [a.x.com] resolve properly.

However, if one of my users [userx.com] is on that list, then when
they receive an email from the list, all references to [a.x.com] in
the header, are rewritten to [x.com] which is wrong, cozing my
mailing list to have all the wrong admin addresses etc.

What step have i missed? I have gone through all the documentation
and tried various switches but no difference. Postfix is being too
clever in cleaning up the emails.

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

alan
