After a crash:

postfix-mailspool/postfix-script: warning: damaged message: corrupt/533871B7E4E

There are two such files, both empty. Under what circumstances are
these created? I am particularly interested to know whether or not
we have lost any mail.

I understand of course that Postfix cannot be responsible when the
underlying hardware and operating system behave in an undefined manner.

This spool is on NFS (you may now pelt me with rotten vegetables).
