If you are a bit more specific with your problem, someone else might
help you. I've had no problems compiling a customized postfix 2.1.4 on
FC2 from Simon's RPMs, really with any release whatsoever.

Maybe thies intructions (from my spanish mirror) help you. The process
is clearly explained in a straight forward way.
