If only it was that simple. Obviously virtual(5) is the way to go if you
want alias or forwarding functionality, but the broader context of my
message included:

And this is what I'm looking to accomplish - filtering capability at the
LDA level - either integrated into the LDA or the ability to pipe to an
external program.
