Fw: postgresql support in main branch

Hi, I'm new to the mailing list. i was wondering if postgres support will ever be supported in the main branch of postfix releases? i recently downloaded postfix 2.0 and tried to install postgresql support by following the instructions on the postfix-postgresql support page by adding -DHAS_PGSQL and adding the pgsql library link. However, after compilation, a postconf -m shows that the pgsql module is not enabled. It took adding the pgsql patch to the release to make pgsql work.

Is there a reason why postgresql is not supported in the releases and mysql is? i tried to do a search in the archive, but not much turned up.

thanks,
david
