adopted by me.
Unfortunately, i ran out of time and the discussion pretty much ended
before we clarified which changes had to be done to it so that it could
be merged into mainstream Postfix.

Actually, the db_common infrastructure not only helps MySQL, but unifies
all "programable" (SQL-based and LDAP) map types and provides several
flexibility enhancements.
This might be the moment to re-take that discussion and integrate the
patchset after making some changes (or whatever Wietse decides)
