This is way OT, but I would really like for this to
work with one just one postfix instance on one machine
so here goes my explanation...
We are an ASP for financial services. We don't send
any mail to end users except system generated mail
regarding bill payments, login info changes etc...
This other mail that will be going out can be
generated by our clients for their end customers.
Because of being incorrectly listed on the (now
defunct) Osirusoft black list a few years ago
management is very paranoid about something similar
happening again. I say incorrectly because the mail
that got us on the list had a spoofed from domain that
was a misspelling of ours. At the time several large
vendors included the Osirusoft black list in their
products and it caused several weeks of problems.
When/If our mailserver ip's get blacklisted it has the
potential to effect ALL of our clients and all
half-million end users.
These are not UCE messages. Anyone who receives these
messages will have opted in to receive these and can
easily opt-out.
Fear of blacklists is the reason we are paying a 3rd
party to send these messages out for us and part of
the deal is they will deal with isp's and blacklists
provided we (our clients) don't send out any email
that does not meet their standards.

Yes, there are many easier ways, unfortunately for our
application this is the easiest. Again, it's not bulk
email.
Hopefully you won't think I'm trying to proliferate
spam and someone will be willing to help out. :)
thanks,
