Hence the frown. Yes, your compiler is right of course, and yet
void = test ? void : VSTRING
is quite unambiguous, so the compiler (like GCC) can safely be less
pedantic. If GCC were more pedantic, it might have caught the deviation
from strict ANSI conformance.

I am glad the patched code works, I have to apologize to Wietse for
triggering a 2.0.1 release quite so soon...
