Then wait for mail to appear in the incoming queue and forward said mail to another server, how would I do that? Would I need two instances? One to queue and one to forward? Or could I do it in one? Is there some master.cf action that I would need?
where is the TIMING breakdown, what is eating up the most time? there is
nothing so inefficient about amavisd that you would see 15msgs/seconds
using the same ingredients (SA and CLAM) with mailscanner versus amavisd
at .3-1msgs/second, I have to think you have something wrong with your
amavisd setup.
I get much better results then that with a large sa ruleset doing surbl
lookups and running clamd and uvscan (command line). the box i'm running
it on is a dual p3 500 with 768 mb of ram. no screamer by any standards.
I haven't been watching the amavisd-new list much, if you decide to
follow up on amavisd preformance cc me and send to the amavisd list as
it has little/nothing to do with postfix.
