hmmm. something is broking on your side. db.rgids.cn resolves to
162.105.203.80. if you can connect using one form, you must be able to
connect using the other form (dns resolution is done by your telnet).

well, he does have a dns problem: 162.105.203.89 doesn't have a reverse
dns entry. but that's a different issue.
