Thanks for the info. I think I will find an attribute to store the
canonical address. Do you know which schema have the maildrop
attribute? That's the default result_attribute in ldap_table, but I
can't find it anywhere ...

The domain is also stored in associatedDomain. Would there be a way to
stitch two attributes together for the result, ie uid
associatedDomain ?
I don't think there is according to my readin of the ldap_table man
page ...
