Perhaps not. I agree with all the other posters who have suggested
appropriate political solutions to the underlying problem. I'm not
familiar with Michael's business. Definitely, use whatever coercion
necessary to effect proper recipient validation.

I would consider it useful to have the ability to apply access rules to
outbound mail, smtp_*_restrictions, however. I guess here the "*" would
expand to sender, recipient, and server.

Has that been considered? It only matters for mail which did not enter
via smtpd, but even there it could be a useful means to deal with
temporary issues, or to force mail through per-destination rate limits
(and yes, transport(5) can do that too.)
