Well, here's another area in which you need some basic understanding.
Can this list point you in the right direction? We shall see.

"www.saice.edu" is a hostname or DNS record. "saice.edu" is also a
hostname (resolves to the same IP, but that is not necessarily so), and
is the zone or domain name in question.

Domain Name: SAICE.EDU

Registrant:
SRI AUROBINDO INTERNATIONAL CENTRE OF EDUCATION(S.A.I.C.E.)-SRI AUROBINDO
   SRI AUROBINDO ASHRAM
   PONDICHERRY, PONDICHERRY 605002
   INDIA

Is that you? If so, technically speaking, you are in control of it.

Perhaps you have delegated this control to someone else. S/he is using
Zoneedit.com to provide DNS for the domain. A good, beginner-friendly
choice IMO.

Normally people use www.$DOMAIN_NAME for HTTP ("Web") and just
$DOMAIN_NAME for mail, although there is no requirement that certain
hostnames be used for any specific purpose.

Save your money. Have the person who controls your Zoneedit account
create a special subdomain for you ... varun.saice.edu ... whatever
sounds good to you. An "A" (host) record is fine, pointed to your
static IP, *NOT* filtered by a Cisco PIX firewall.

Do you have such an IP address as could be used?

Pay someone to host mail for userssaice.edu until such time as you
know enough to take over. Play around with varun.saice.edu. Break it,
fix it. That's a good way to learn. In fact I think I had suggested
this to you once before.

If you want to register a domain, go ahead. Sign up for another
Zoneedit account, or add it to your existing one.

There are *many* basics you need to know before you tackle SMTP. Unix
administration / OS basics ... TCP/IP ... DNS ... Until more of those
are in place you are going to find this very difficult, perhaps not
even possible.
