First - I've changed the two lines
lydgate.org smtp:[anne-linux.lydgate.net]
.lydgate.org smtp:[anne-linux.lydgate.net]

to

lydgate.org local
.lydgate.org local

as that is where they will ultimately be. It's senselss to send it to
the old server when I shall have to copy them back to the new one.

My lan uses static addressing. /etc/hosts has a list of all the boxes
on the lan, in this format:

192.168.0.30 anne-linux.lydgate.net anne-linux
