FYI, The details of MX versus A lookup were defined 20 years ago.
If you want to operate a mail server this is among the basic stuff
that you need to know, just like you need to understand the basics
of netmasks if you want to operate an IP network.

I could have posted a pointer to the RFC itself, but then I get
accused of showing pictures of food to hungry people.
