ok.. So here is the problem.
 
rootlists.jjbedmonton.com is just an alias within aliases.db to nocjjbedmonton.com
 
When I send an email to rootlists.jjbedmonton.com, postfix sends that to exchange to deal with only is isn't giving it the alias. So that is why it never gets deliverd. It is telling exchange to deliver the email to rootlists.jjbedmonton.com but it should be saying deliver it to nocjjbedmonton.com
 
What have I done wrong in the aliasing of root? Here is what is in the alias file
 
root: nocjjbedmonton.com

Most postfix logging problems are syslog problems.
So, stop and restart syslogd, check entries in syslog.conf
