ok.. So here is the problem.
root
lists.jjbedmonton.com is just an alias within aliases.db to noc
jjbedmonton.com
When I send an email to root
lists.jjbedmonton.com, postfix sends that to exchange to deal with only is isn't giving it the alias. So that is why it never gets deliverd. It is telling exchange to deliver the email to root
lists.jjbedmonton.com but it should be saying deliver it to noc
jjbedmonton.com
What have I done wrong in the aliasing of root? Here is what is in the alias file
root: noc
jjbedmonton.com

Most postfix logging problems are syslog problems.
So, stop and restart syslogd, check entries in syslog.conf
