Thanks Noel that worked and provied that the postfix component is working properly. As well thanks to everyone else for their help, muchly appreciated. Now to get majordomo working.

Please stop top-posting.

aliases are only processed for mail handled by local(8).
Probably your easiest solution is to add that alias to
virtual_alias_maps (the domain need not be declared in
virtual_alias_domains)

# virtual_alias_maps
rootlists.jjbedmonton.com nocjjbedmonton.com
